A 4 track broken beat single (21m 18s) — released October 1st 2005 on Broadcite Productions
As the Broadcite unplugged series continue to move dance floors and lounges world wide, Method Unique's excellent track 'Travesty' gets the remix treatment on this Bonus 12" . The latest track to be taken from the Broadcite unplugged compilation Volume 1. 'Travesty' has received much support and attention from radio and club DJ's on a global scale. The track describes the sense of emptiness & loss felt when a heart is broken. Filtered vocals are used sparingly to convey this emotion. But almost as a direct contradiction, the music itself uplifts the spirit. Relatively new to the broken beat movement Method Unique have been writing and producing emotive and inspiring music for a number of years but have avoided being classified under the 'urban' umbrella feeling their music is best suited to the mature (but not necessarily older) listener. This heavy weight single features remixes from Tempo AKA TRoy who totally flips the script on his 'Make poverty history' mix, delving deeper into his archive of twisted funky grooves with a strong vocal performed by soul diva Dinah Derby. Covering some of the issues that effect today s global current affairs. The B side gets the Soulmotion touch. A silky and warm dance track with a floating guitar riff and a vocal stab added for good measure. After a rigorous road test these remixes defiantly hit the spot and sit perfectly in clubs & lounge bars alike. Bonus track 'Are you ready' sees Method Unique's Leon Williams put his reggae influenced vocal style to good use again drawing the listener into this upfront track. Method Unique bring a welcome breath of fresh air to the evolving Nu jazz, Broken beat scene. A great addition to the Broadcite catalogue. This is fusion, Grab it!! Peace. Love. Harmony…
